Tween Introduction to Aerial

In this 55 minute Introduction to Aerial class students will work on both metal apparatuses (hoop & trapeze) and fabric apparatuses (silks & hammock). This will help them decide what class type(s) they will want to take when they advance to level 1. Students will learn basic fundamental movements on metals such as how to mount/dismount safety and other balance exercises when standing and sitting on the bar. In addition they will practice footlocks on silks which is what will support them while in the air. There is not a specified number of classes needed to advance. Each student is different with regard to their strength and coordination. A minimum of 3 classes is required or you may schedule private instruction. The instructor will let you know when your child is ready to advance! Ages 9 - 12. Max participation of 6 students.
